What to see in Leuca, the town of the two seas

The southernmost tip of the Salento peninsula, where the Ionian and Adriatic seas meet and blend into a unique, rare blue. The coastline and its caves are best explored by boat: high, dramatic cliffs plunging into the sea on the Adriatic side; soft golden beaches on the Ionian side, perfect at sunset. Don’t miss the beautiful karst caves: the Devil’s Cave, the Grotta del Soffio and the Cave of the Three Doors.

Santa Maria di Leuca itself: a monumental waterfall with 300 steps, the old harbour, the Basilica. Leuca is an elegant, tranquil town, ideal for family holidays, full of restaurants and trattorias serving excellent seafood.
