Torre Vado and Pescoluse, the Maldives of Salento

Pescoluse is a seaside resort whose beach is a long stretch of very light sand — the finest in Salento — with very shallow seabeds and calm waters: a true earthly paradise, especially for families travelling with children. No wonder Pescoluse has been renamed “the Maldives of Salento”.

Several karst caves lie just off the coast. There are both equipped lidos and free beaches, with plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Since 2013 Pescoluse has held the “Green Flag” award as a child-friendly beach, alongside the “Blue Flag” for water quality.
